AlphaCalc ("we", "us") provides free online calculators and unit converters at alphacalc.app (the "Site"). This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Site and how it's handled. AlphaCalc doesn't require an account, and we've built the Site to collect as little as possible.

What we don't collect

Every calculator and converter on this Site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers, dates, health details, financial figures, or any other values you type into a calculator are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. We have no database of user inputs or results.

Local storage

The Site saves one small piece of information in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme preference. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings. We don't use tracking cookies.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information for every request it serves — for example, IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. These logs are used only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing errors), are retained only as long as reasonably necessary, and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.

Analytics and advertising

As of this writing, AlphaCalc does not use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. If that changes in the future — for example, to add privacy-respecting analytics to understand which calculators are useful — this policy will be updated first to describe what data is collected and how you can opt out.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, since calculator inputs never leave your browser.

Your rights

Because AlphaCalc doesn't collect or store personal data from your use of the calculators, there is generally nothing tied to you for us to access, export, or delete. If you believe you have received a cookie, tracker, or any personal data handling from this Site beyond what's described here, please contact us using the details below so we can investigate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves. Material changes — such as introducing analytics, advertising, or user accounts — will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
